By accessing or using GlobeMentor ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

GlobeMentor is an online platform that connects volunteers with host organizations offering volunteer opportunities worldwide. We act as an intermediary and do not directly operate volunteer programs.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as needed.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

5. Volunteer Opportunities

5.1 Relationship with Hosts

GlobeMentor facilitates connections between volunteers and host organizations but is not responsible for the conduct, programs, or services provided by host organizations. Any agreement you make with a host is between you and that host.

5.2 No Employment Relationship

Volunteers are not employees of GlobeMentor or host organizations. Volunteer activities are unpaid and undertaken voluntarily.

6. Fees and Payments

Program fees are set by host organizations and paid directly to them or through our platform. GlobeMentor may charge a service fee for using our platform. All fees are disclosed before booking.

7. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policies vary by host organization. Please review the specific cancellation policy for each opportunity before booking. GlobeMentor service fees may be non-refundable.

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its content, features, and functionality are owned by GlobeMentor and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. User Content

By posting content on the Platform, you grant GlobeMentor a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

GLOBEMENTOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR ANY VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold GlobeMentor harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

13. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
